One of the hardest
lessons learned are the ones when the worst happens.
I’m speaking of fire, flood, theft, malicious
damage to your property and possessions. People
are lax in taking care of insurance papers. When
people are asked, “If you had to leave your
house in a hurry, what would you take with you?” Pictures
are a high response. How many people know enough
to take insurance papers ? These are the legal
means of rebuilding your life.
Imagine having done an insurance video or your
possessions, home or business. Take that video,
digitize it and store it in multiple places away
from your home or business.
A picture may be worth a 1000 words.
A video of what you own becomes a legal document
of those possessions. The condition and location
of them will make your insurance claim more valid
and less contentious when you begin to haggle over
what it is that was lost.
How time consuming would it be to list everything
?
How much easier would it be to video record a
walk through showcasing those items of greatest
importance, greatest recovery cost, most sentimental
?
How about the loss of family heirlooms ? Something
has been handed down to you from relatives. If
someone steals it and pawns it, what do you have
to show authorities what it looks like for recovery
?
An insurance video of your self worth may be
the cheapest investment you’ll ever make
if the nightmare of loss happens.
