Do
you have a box of old 8MM or Super 8 movies and
don’t know what to do with them?
Do you realize the memories you have on those
films?
Once they are gone, you’ll never get them
back.
There are many places that will transfer your
films to DVDs.
I have recently partnered with a company that
converts your films to DVDs. The difference is
that they do so much more.
Here is what you get by contacting me to have
this done:
- All your films will be physically cleaned as
they run through a cleaning process.
- Any films that are broken, they will be SPLICED
together and fixed.
- The film is usually projected onto a screen
or into a lens and recorded. With us, your film
is recorded FRAME BY FRAME giving a much cleaner
image. If you want Hi-DEF quality, that can be
done during the transfer. All new recording equipment
was designed and built for this purpose.
- Once the films have been transferred, they
are spliced together onto one or more larger reels
for safe keeping. No longer will you have a bag
full of small reels of film.
- The footage can then be placed on a DVD for
you or they can come back as an AVI file for further
recording in Dick’s studio. There he can
add music, graphics, COLOR CORRECT the footage
and create any number of presentations for you
the client. With a large collection of editing
software, these family films make great gifts
and presentations and projected on a large screen
during family events, reunions. Ask Dick about
- Creating a presentation from these films
- Bringing all the equipment and project it
on a large screen with speakers in a sound system
so all can hear and see this family memory.
- If you have 16MM or 35 MM films, they can also
be transferred.
- If you have old VHS video tapes, they can also
be transferred.
Once you have contacted Dick, he will ask you
to review what ever information you have on the
films and asks that you number them in the order
you want. Dick will then attach a BAR CODE label
on each film. This will be the order they will
appear on the DVD.
Besides the DVD, if the files come back as AVI
files, then Dick can take them in any order and
create any presentation you would like or imagine.
Each project is different in what you the client
may want or the size of the film list to convert.
Figure on $5 per 3 minute film reel for the all
the work that happens to repair, clean, organize
and transfer your films into digital footage.
If your film has sound, it requires different
recording equipment. The video is recorded at HIGH
DEFINITION quality and the sound track is recorded
through a different line. The cost is about $ 9
per 3 minute film reel.
